Gym Desk ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, and safeguards your information. Gym Desk is designed primarily as an offline-first gym management solution, with optional cloud synchronization features.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide our services:

  • Member Information: Names, phone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth, gender, and profile photographs.
  • Staff Information: Names, contact details, job titles, shifts, and salary information.
  • Operational Data: Attendance records (check-in times), membership plans, payment history, invoice details, and product sales.
  • Asset Data: Information about gym equipment and locker assignments.

3. How We Collect Information

  • Direct Entry: Information is manually entered into the application by the gym administrator or staff.
  • Device Permissions:
    • Camera: We request access to your device's camera to take member profile photos and scan membership barcodes/QR codes.
    • Storage/Photos: We request access to local storage/gallery to save database backups, export reports (PDF/Excel), and select member photos.

4. How We Use Your Information

The collected data is used solely for the purpose of managing gym operations, including:

  • Managing memberships and tracking validity.
  • Recording and monitoring member attendance.
  • Processing payments and generating financial reports.
  • Managing staff schedules and payroll.
  • Inventory and asset tracking.

5. Data Storage and Security

  • Local Storage: By default, all data is stored locally on your device using a secure SQLite database. You are responsible for maintaining the physical and digital security of the device.
  • Cloud Synchronization (Optional): If you choose to enable the "Sync" feature, your data will be transmitted to a Supabase database. This allows you to access your data across multiple devices. You control when synchronization occurs (Manual or Auto-sync).

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others. Data is only shared if you:

  • Explicitly enable cloud synchronization services.
  • Export reports to share with third parties.

7. Your Rights

As the data controller of your local device:

  • You have full access to all data stored within the app.
  • You can update or correct information at any time.
  • You can delete members, staff, or the entire database at your discretion.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page or within the application.
